Cooperative event by Haltom City and American Legion Post 655

Memorial Day weekend going full blast in Haltom City! Received a call this morning from Art Camacho, City Secretary for the City of Haltom City, confirming May 30th as "Poppy Day" in Haltom City.
Then it was out to New Trinity Cemetery in Haltom City to catch up with all the boys and girls (Boy & Girl Scouts) who helped set out the flags. A great big THANK YOU to all of the dedicated parents who set the path to good citizenship. We presented all of our Scouts with "In Flanders Field" bookmarks and poppies. Now, that folks, is my idea of what a Memorial Day weekend looks like. See you at the Haltom City Memorial Day concert and Cemetery May 30th. Again, a great big THANK YOU to the City of Haltom City and Mayor David Averitt for supporting our Veterans.
